The Original Sign
Well I have been thinking of a descriptive title for this blog for a couple of weeks then went out for lunch with my mate (and fellow IA) Cath. On the way up the stairs to the gents I bashed my head on the ceiling. I am tall. The ceiling is low. It hurt.
On the way back down the stairs I noticed the sign ‘Please Mind Your Head’. Useful. But not when you are walking UP the stairs. Which you obviously have to do before you can walk DOWN and see the sign.
Which for me pretty much summed up the state of IA in 2009.
IA is done, but usually as an afterthought. And often with little idea of how much value it can add. And the pain it can avoid.
